1. Make all life sentences mean what they say. No minimum terms, no parole, just life sentences.
2. Tougher sentences for violent criminals. Save the softer sentences (community orders etc.) for softer crimes.
3. Ban all forms of race/colour discrimination, including legalised so-called “positive” discrimination against White English people.
4. Make all people who are not entitled to certain U.K. health care have to show proof (except in an emergency) of medical insurance BEFORE they are treated for medical problems. For example, European countries have agreements with the U.K., but their citizens are only entitled to SOME free healthcare in the U.K. (as we are entitled to SOME free healthcare in most European countries). BUT lots of Europeans have been visiting the U.K., getting healthcare that they are not entitled to, and going back to their own countries without paying up.
5. Fine bus and train companies that are consistently late.
6. Scrap identity cards. Whatever the arguments for or against civil liberties, they’re a complete waste of frigging money! Spain had them yet the Madrid train bombing still happened, and I seriously doubt would-be terrorists would be scared off their plans by the threat of a fine for not producing and I.D. card.
7. Specifically ban mutilation of male infants using a procedure called ‘circumcision’. It destroys important nerve endings, it’s painful, and causes physical problems and in many cases mental trauma. Yet, despite child abuse being illegal in the U.K., in practice the mutilation of male infants still happens, with authorities turning a blind eye to it. Scotland’s N.H.S. even produced a leaflet that made it very clear they were happy to carry out this heinous act! There is already a law banning Female Genital Mutilation, and the Male Genital Mutilation Act would still allow circumcision for genuine medical reasons. But not just because parents can’t be bothered teaching their kids about safe sex or teaching them how to clean properly! The welfare of male children is not less important than female children, and religion (often used as an excuse for mutilating male infants) should never come above the welfare of children.
8. Begin a rape campaign that focusses not just on the sentence for rape, but on the effects (on male and female victims) – this is because surveys, research, and jury trials have continually shown that too many people seem to not understand the effects of rape. The majority of attackers are known to the victim – e.g.: a “friend” who was completely trusted, a family member, etc.
9. Improve animal welfare laws and the policing of those laws. Double the maximum sentence for animal cruelty.
10. Reduce the paperwork for the police and ensure more police are out on the beat. Also ensure that police officers who are blatantly not doing their jobs are punished properly and fired where necessary. E.g.: unprofessional behaviour = a sanction… Ignoring crimes = the sack.
11. Open more dentists that accept N.H.S. patients
12. Ensure that those who need State Benefits get it instead of waiting three weeks or more with no money only to get £64-£128 at the end of those weeks, but ensure that those who don’t deserve the money have to not only pay back every penny, but also have to pay a fine and do community service.
12. Where the victims agree, make those that have committed crimes against people meet their victims face to face in a calm environment where the victim can say exactly how they feel.
13. Make those who have graffittied places clean up their own graffitti as well as put them in stocks for a while (but no throwing bricks at them – someone there to monitor their safety).
14. Give the staff on the ground (e.g. nurses) more say when it comes to improving hospitals, rather than CEOs who don’t get to see the hospitals on a daily basis.
15. To avoid exploitation, introduce a system where those who are very wealthy have to pay for using hospitals (or have to buy insurance). This wouldn’t be like the U.S. model, as those earning ordinary wages, or up to twice an ordinary wage, would still get treatment absolutely free, so there would be nobody unable to access healthcare.
16. Provide more services for male and female victims of domestic violence. Remember that most men won’t hit a woman no matter how hard she is hitting him, some are too scared, and some are faced with one or more weapons. And there needs to be more shelters in general, as well as an approach that deals with all aspects (e.g. financial) of domestic violence, not just safety. Of course I recognise that there is violence in some same-sex relationships too, so victims in those relationships would be offered support.
17. Ban smacking children for any reason other than to prevent worse harm coming to them. If you can’t discipline a child without using a technique that would get you arrested if it was used on an adult, DON’T HAVE KIDS! If you’re teaching in a college and an adult misb
Ah, balls, the N.H.S. money-saving idea was one I meant to double-check before posting this. Oops.

And no I’m not circumcised, and very glad of that fact. And if my wife raped me, I personally would love it (though I realise there are plenty of men who wouldn’t).
Scouse, I know we don’t vote directly for a Prime Minister (as you know, we vote for a political party that is led by a particular person) but putting ‘Prime Minister’ makes this more distinctive I think, and plenty of people do vote based on what the person who leads a certain party says. And usually, that person leading that party ends up as Prime Minister).

And I see plenty of people saying “[insert random celebrity] for PM” but not “[insert random group] for government”
Out of curiosity, could anyone who answers now please state whether you’re old enough to vote?
I would like to point out that though some of these things may seem unworkable, there is no financial issue with them. I would:
1. Save money by scrapping the I.D. cards scheme (millions of pounds).
2. Save money by bringing the troops back from Iraq and Afghanistan. Why on earth is our government (who obviously put the army in Afghanistan) supporting a leader who is corrupt and has made it legal to rape wives (they can be starved if they don’t have sex) anyway?
3. Stop wasting money on useless projects like A4E (Action 4 Employment) and use the money for some of the things I want to do.
4. Offer advertising on government buildings.
Now of course, with the money saved, I may not be able to do ALL of the things listed, but I could do the most important ones.
Ah whoops. Was readjusting the numbers and didn’t notice I’d put two ’12′s. Sorry!

Anyway, Connor, as you refer to ‘spanking’, I guess you’re American. In which case you wouldn’t be able to vote for me anyway unless you had dual citizenship with Britain. And if you think it goes to far, too bad. I’m writing things from my heart, not from what I think would get me elected if I actually ran for Prime Minister. The safety of children is more important than a parent’s perceived “right” to assault a child, and smacking (and especially spanking) can, and has, had very negative effects.

15 is out anyway, see Scouse’s answer.

6. No we don’t need the kind the government are proposing. There are plenty of other forms of I.D. Labour’s ones are a waste of money. We haven’t had them for centuries, why do we suddenly need them now?

Liberal? When I want to put people in stocks and make life sentences mean what they say? I’m neither conservative nor liberal, I’m individual
Baron F’ken Angry II, how is trying to improve Britain “un-British”?
