I am going to Bulgaria for a fortnight on Wednesday, and wasn’t going to bother with travel insurance, but I am re-considering to give me piece of mind in case I lose my luggage (has happened previously, although I got my case back, so never needed to claim).

Anyhow, I am staying with family, so I have only paid around £160, to book my flights.

I have one of those cards that covers you for medical treatment within Europe.

I have did a search on moneysupermarket.com and they have policies from as little as £5.51. I realise that the cheaper policies might not provide a massive level of cover, but I only really want a basic policy to cover my essentials.

Does anyone have any guidelines to what I need cover for? values etc?

I am not taking a lot of cash with me, and my luggage won’t be worth a great amount of money – I’m taking around 6 outfits, and I tend to buy most of my clothes from Primark, so the most expensive thing in my luggage would probably be my GHD’s.
