Tuesday, 4/29 I am delighted to be able to share the inauguration of this health center in Pánuco with you. I hope everyone will come here for regular check-ups: you don’t have to wait for an emergency or anything like that. Health centers that the state government and Federal Government have built together. With contributions from you as taxpayers and as Mexicans, with programs that have expanded very rapidly such as Popular Insurance, Medical Insurance for a New Generation, programs that have a single goal for people: To Live Better. Nationwide, for example, an average of 25 children for every thousand die every year. Here in Pánuco, 33 children die out of every thousand, meaning that in order to reach the national average, we will have to build more health centers so that the mothers can come in for check-ups from the time they are pregnant, and give birth in proper conditions. In the morning, we inaugurated six specialized medical units. three in Fresnillo and three in Zacatecas, where other health problems will be dealt with: Overweight, in other words, being fat; diabetes, which also has to do with eating a lot of sugar and cardiovascular diseases, in other words, heart diseases and problems concerning veins.
