i’ve just read the post from the Happy Murcia about Jane Tomlinson being denied a drug which could have helped her.
I am in complete agreement with those who condemn this postcode lottery, but what is the solution to the problem of funding the nhs?
There will never be enough money to pay for every possible drug and treatment available for all of us. The NHS is an unachievable ideal. I have great admiration for the nurses and doctors and all those caring for patients, but the reality is an unpalatable truth.
Should we have medical insurance and pay for treatment as in other countries, or would that condemn the less well off to substandard health care?
