Sen. Olympia Snowe, the lone Republican in the Senate Finance Committee who who voted on the $829 billion bill inching closer to health care reform, appears on CNN’s “American Morning” the day after her historic vote. “I believe in solving problems, in trying to work through the legislative process to get things done,” Snowe said, adding she is opposed to a public option in health reform, as well as an “individual mandate” that may be imposed on those who neglect to purchase a health insurance plan, though she is looking forward to stopping ‘egregious” practices by insurance companies.
