about two years ago a girl i knew went to the dentist and had some type of root canal treatment. whilst drilling this girl said it was very painful and by the time she was leaving the surgery the side of her face had started to swell up. she took some photos of it when she got home and by that time it looked like she had half a tennis ball in the side of her mouth. i remember seeing this and we contact the dentist who said things like that can happen….
when the swelling went down the side of this girls face had sunken in and was told by a doctor that she had muscle damage and would require surgery to reform her cheek…at this time we decided to seek some type of compensation and got a solicitor to deal with making an insurance claim.. we were later informed that there was no medical negligence and therefore no claim could be made…
About two years have passed and i recently met this girl again and noticed that the side of her face had actually got worse and more noticeable than it had previously been.
i feel that there should have been some type of compensation for this girl i know wouldn’t you agree? or no if anything could still be done?
