So i just found out i am pregnant with my husband. (We are both full-time students) and have been married for about 6 years and have talked about wanting to have kids. I had told my doctor and she advised us to start conceiving this year if we wanted kids next year (because i have a medical condition that complicates pregnancy) Well like i said, it turns out now that i am pregnant and at the moment, i am on a Medical insurance that doesn’t cover maternity. My husband has a contract with the military where is he to join in december of this year. Obviously since we both wanna have kids and thought it would be hard, this feels like a blessing ( knowing it was this easy to have this miracle). Now since he will be on tricare (military) in december, i’m not worried about the delivery, but it is the time up untill December, where we have no insurance. The thought kind of scares me but i wonder if we would be able to pay it out of pocket since we are not paying for the last 2 mos of the pregnancy and the deliviery which i’ve heard can be a nightmare.
I don’t need any lectures from anyone. I am happily married to my husband and a child now feels like a great suprise, i am just a little worried about how we are going to get by untill we get insurance. ANy ideas? Thanks!
Does anyone know how often you need to come in for a prenatal visit? Once a month? ALso, i assume i’d have to pay an ultrasound too right?
