I was in an auto accident in the US and have since moved to England. I have recently resumed medical treatment for my injury here in the UK. I will eventually receive a settlement from the insurance company in California. How aggressive will the NHS be towards repayment? Will they nickle and dime me to death? Can they legally make me pay anything? I’m just concerned that there will be this huge bill handed to me, and with the exchange rate, it will end up costing me twice as much as if I were paying in California…
