I had to cancel a holiday at the last minute due to a injury!! i had to call out the doctor due to a back problem which the doctor diagnosed as a pulled muscle, i contacted the travel company who sent a claims form to be given to my doctor who in turn completed it and the form was returned to the insurance company. The doctor had checked my files and told the insurance company that i had been diagnosed with sciatica back in 1999, which was never treated at the time and i had never beeen back to the doctor with that complaint since 1999. now sciatica is a trapped nerve which causes continuos pain down either leg, completely different from a pulled muscle which was the doctors diagnosis at the time & the reason i couldnt travel, now the travel insurance are going by a doctors record from 9 yrs ago, which was not the problem that caused me not to travel!!! so do you have to get a copy of all your lifes medical history and declare all on the insurance forms these days!!! any advice
