This is a song I wrote about/for Matthew Leone of Madina Lake, who is currently hospitalized (though improving!) due to severe injuries he sustained while intervening in a violent “domestic dispute” involving a man who was beating his wife. All my love to Matthew & the boys, and wishing him a quick recovery. He didn’t deserve to be hurt for doing the right thing. I know it’s a bit cliché, but I tried… UPDATE ON MATTHEW: He has been allowed to return home from the hospital, though he must wear protective headgear and be supervised. He’s scheduled for surgery on July 16th to have the pieces of his skull reattached. Additionally, Matthew does not have medical insurance.
