Helth Cover

Have there always been teachers here in the UK on work permits? I am from the United States living in the UK on a work permit and things have really turned around for me. I have been paying taxes, I live on my own, have bought a car and thinking about getting medical and dental insurance. I sure hope that the gov. does not change immigration rules on me because I have spent a lot of money getting set up here.
