RESULTS is a nonprofit grassroots advocacy organization which creates the public and political will to end poverty and hunger. RESULTS has been working on its Healthcare For All by 2010 campaign for the last three years. RESULTS volunteers lobbied Congress on the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and President Obama signed it into law in February. Known in Iowa as HAWK-I, the CHIP medical insurance relieves the burden of health care from struggling families. RESULTS favors a national health care option. The Cedar Rapids RESULTS Group meets on the third Monday of the month at 7 pm at Christ Episcopal Church.
